Project: An Innovative Solution to Enhance Teenager Well-Being: A Mobile Application that Promotes Collaborative Problem-Solving.

Project Objectives: To create a smartphone application, TeenPal, that can improve the overall well-being of teenagers by reducing stress through self-reflection, empathizing with others, and collaborative problem-solving. The American Psychological Association finds that 42 percent of teens believed that they were not managing their stress adequately; 13 percent never allotted time to address the reasons for their stress. Our app harnesses the power of technology and previous psychological studies on improving a teenagers’ well-being in a cost-effective, time-efficient, safe, and anonymous way.
